Canada Asia Business Network successfully assisted both Canadian and American companies to exhibit and to promote their services/products under the Canadian Pavilion at the China Water Show (CWS) and the China Environmental Protection Expo (EPTEE 2009) in Shanghai, China.
Canada Asia Business Network (CABN) arranged AXYS Technologies Inc. to exhibit at the EPTEE 2009, promoted the GLOBE Foundation’s upcoming GLOBE 2010, and represented four Canadian companies to search for potential Chinese distributors. In addition, CABN helped Mr. Thomas F. Vandenburg from Dongell Lawrence Finney LLP make the “Green Initiative” speech during the expo. Mr. Matt Robinson from AXYS Technologies Inc. commented that CABN’s services and meeting arrangements were excellent, and requested more follow-up services.
Accompanied by CABN representatives, AXYS Technologies Inc. (Sidney, BC, Canada) exhibited in the expo as a member of the Canadian Pavilion. Over 200 professional show participants visited AXYS’ booth and inquired information and cooperation opportunities. CABN representatives assisted Mr. Matt Robinson and Mr. Jeremy Hancyk of AXYS to collect visitors’ information and will follow up with potential clients once Matt and Jeremy return to Canada. While they were in China, CABN representatives arranged private one-to-one business meeting with the branch of China Oceanic Administration. The experts of China Oceanic Administration showed strong interests in AXYS’ projects and products, and the meeting was concluded successfully with potential technology cooperation and purchase. From Matt’s feedback regarding the EPTEE 2009 and CABN services, he pointed out that “the overall scope and quality of CABN’s services were excellent…the off-site meeting arrangements were excellent”, and requested more follow-up services from CABN.

CABN represented Acrylicon Industrial Flooring (Nanaimo, BC), Ostara Nutrient Recovery Technologies (Vancouver, BC), Paradigm Environmental Technologies (Vancouver, BC), and MicroSludge (Vancouver, BC) to help them search for potential distributors in China. CABN representatives collected potential distributors’ information and distributed Canadian companies’ marketing materials to the visitors.
During the EPTEE 2009, CABN assisted Mr. Thomas F. Vandenburg from Dongell Lawrence Finney LLP (Los Angeles, California, USA) to make a professional speech on “California’s Green Initiative”. Thomas’ speech was inspiring and many professional audiences raised some quite interesting questions. Thomas praised that “the trip and the show were great. It was great to meet so many exhibitors and visitors. CABN staff was very helpful to me and to my family. I believe my presentation was well-received, based upon feedback afterwards.” In addition, CABN helped the GLOBE Foundation promoted their upcoming GLOBE 2010 event.
